Back From UK, Skivvies Unfunded, News At 11
A wonderful time at the UK filk con as always, wished we could get more time so we weren't seeming to spend the bulk of every day exhausted.

Pants are bankrupt, as tends to happen, so please ping me with any news more important than the *bleep*ing Dolts losing in the *bleep*ing Super Bowl.

In other fun stuff, which may have been seen elsewhere in the LJ universe, ladyat, min0taur, Sally WINOLJ, and I all participated in a very positive "SF in Music" story on NPR, produced by Folk Alley director Chris Boros, which was broadcast on 9 Feb.

min0taur and Sally both sound so erudite and intelligent, it was an honor just to get to share the airwaves with them.

Hi frm Tom
Glad you made it back home safely and we wish we could have been there. This year is turning out crazy for us (7 conventions) after we had decided to take it easy this year!! :-D Now I have 2 CD's to work on in the studio, as well as helping out on others. On top of this I have been working with Karen Linsley and her come back to performing. Life is good but busy. Oh I sent Brenda an email as well for your approvals for another project I am working on.

You and Brenda sounded pretty darn good yourselves. I can't think of better spokespeople for filk than the four of you.

Possibly Amusing
http://soomopublishing.com/declaration/index.html -- or, the Declaration of Independence meets "It's Too Late to Apologize."

Hope your trip was non-horrible!

NPR, SF, music, and friends...
We finally got to hear the SF-and-music piece via the NPR online archive, and as always, it's a delight to hear you folks -- but especially in this context.

Chris did quite a few substantial interviews at OVFF, and was itching to do a longer, more in-depth piece; it'll be way cool if he can pull that off. In the meantime, a respectful portal into filk has been established.
