Posted: One 12-Year-Old
ladyat and J have just decamped for Hobby Lobby (to pick up a state quarter collection book) and thence to the Cincinnati Airport to put him on his plane home.

I tried to hide him under the bed but ladyat found him. I asked if we could keep him, and I promised to feed him and keep his bedding clean, but she made me send him home.

It has been a great month, and I will miss him terribly. I look forward to sitting down with his full-time grandparents in the village in February and swapping some stories - especially to find out just how micktim was at that age...

We're so glad stevieannie and micktim made the sacrifice to send him to us. Hopefully we can work out a less expensive way to kidnap E in a few years. MWAAA HAAA HAAA HAAA HAAAAAAAAAA.

Has he collegiate ambitions?

Does the school of his dreams have an Exchange plan with some school in Indiana?

He's back safe and sound - thankyou *so* much for having him and giving him such a wonderful experience.

He and Tim have just rebonded over the "Destroy This Journal" using only a lighter and a tin of flyspray.

Woah. ;-)

He's glad to be home, but I suspect that a little part of him will always be homesick for Indiana now...

And my corn just doesn't stand a hope of comparing to yours!

Glad the pickup went better than the dropoff *grin*

The corn is an unfair advantage since Indiana corn is, after all, The Best Corn In The Known Universe TM.

He owes ladyat $4.00 - in spite of his and my efforts to make sure we checked for everything, she found three socks (one under the door, one under the bed, and one in the bedding), some cards, his water pistol, and his flip-flops (in the wardrobe - he may have left those on purpose since he never really built up a toe-callus). We'll bring them in February.

Hopefully he remembers to give you the note we sent along.

Didn't he do a great scrapbook?
