The Holiday Entry
Don't know if I'll be back to LJ before the holiday period is over - we have a house full of kids and grandkids and much activity taking place.

We got most of our shopping done but still have a bit more to do (that's besides my personal traditional Christmas Eve shopping spree). We've very much enjoyed the Circle Centre mall in downtown Indianapolis - I hadn't realized just how many of the historic facades were made part of the mall. Except for the skywalks, it is sometimes hard to tell which buildings are part of the mall and which ones aren't. OK, the entrance to the cinemaplex is pretty much a dead giveaway, but there are lots of others...

W're heading to UUI tonight for the Solstice celebration and will be major participants in the UUCC music celebration on Sunday. After the holidays ladyat and I will be working with UUCC to start a discussion group/adult RE class on paganism/Wicca. Who'd a thunk it?

GAFilk is approaching apace and, since this is my last year as chair, I have all the normal duties plus trying to keep autographedcat in the loop so he is prepared for his first turn in the barrel next year. I'm trying to write up everything I do so he has a reference list (even if it is just to look at some things and say, "he did WHAT?").

Given all that, I may be posting sparsely (yeah, like I'm such a chatterbox) for the next little while. So I give you all my (now traditional) holiday wish, with a little help from cflute:

- as the sun increases, so may your joys increase.
- as the nights become shorter, so may your sorrows shrink.
- as those you love surround you, feel my love there as well.
- may you be blessed by your Gods, be they within or without.
- may all your dearest dreams come to you in time.

Joyous Yule, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Prosperous Diwali, Happy Dong Zhi, and an Inspirational Kwanzaa to you all.

I'll probably see you at UUI tonight. Chase has pneumonia, and is spending the day at the hospital, so there's an outside chance that I won't be able to leave him home alone this evening. If I can, I'll be there. If not, Sally has the scoop and will let the director know. (My big dundun is already there, so the drumming will proceed whether I'm at the sticks or not.)

See you tonight, I hope!
