Catching Up
Updates may be infrequent over the next few weeks (yeah, like they've been frequent before!), as we are zooming into the final phase of House Preparation.

The goal is to have the house ready to go on the market with an open house the weekend we are at Thing, thus having all of Spring Break for viewing and (hopefully!) offers.

That's a LOT of work between now and then.

We have a garage-sized storage unit and are moving things into it a little at a time. Three groups, really:

1) Keep available in case we need it but out of the way (files, tools, etc.)

2) Move next trip to Indy (boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes...)

3) Furniture (shelves and such) - keeping this available in case the house stager wants to move some furniture back in after we gut the place.

We have a major activity each Saturday from now until Thing - not least of which is Bed & Breakfast in our final Atlanta-area gig on March 17 at Laseter's Tavern (7-9 pm or later if the crowd loves us). We had a couple of possible daytime gigs but they fell through - not a bad thing considering they were a couple of hours away and would have made for a pretty rough day. As soon as the gig is over, the sound equipment goes in the storage unit...

The new fence began going up today around the back yard, we expect it to be finished tomorrow. That means Saturday and Sunday this week will probably be a frenzy of ripping out the dog fence and cleaning up the yard so some spring planting can get done.

We had the contractor out to start the process of estimating the repairs and painting on the inside and outside. They think a week's worth of work will do the job, so that's good.

Our mission is to pack pack pack pack pack pack pack pack pack pack pack and pack. Bleah.
