The Last Tuition Check
Well, it has finally happened.

With a flourish of the pen and nearly 5 figures before the decimal point, I've made the last payment to Emory University for Bethany's undergraduate tuition.

They tell me that in future months ladyat and I will be amazed at how much money we have. I hope so. I mostly hope that very soon Chase, Bank of America, and Sears will be amazed at how much money we don't owe them any more.

I also hope Bethany will be in a position to take care of us when we're old, incontinent, and obnoxious. We certainly don't have anything left to retire on at this point ...

There will be a HUGE party on May 10 ...

Happy "Screw the Bursar's Office!" day! *G* Are you really going to have a party?

Oh, yeah, you betcha.

The 10th is a Monday, so I don't know if Beth will be up to a party that night or not. However, we'll be throwing some sort of huge bash right around that time.

Congratulations! In case you do not know what to do with all that money you have available now, I suggest a nice holiday in Germany visiting friends. I could think of a number of people who would be very happy to put you up, me right at the front end of the queue. How a bout it. A little time along the Rhine. Some tour to Bavarian castles. See friends at the Baltic sea. Visit the city where the Hamburgers come from... have fun at a house filk...
Now isn't that a good way to spend money?

*grins* Congrats! I STILL haven't paid those wonderful folks at Emory. Maybe they won't notice me... In case you're wondering, I'm Myra's daughter.
