Immigration Rally  
The issue has been oversimplified almost to the point of "me good, you bad", which (as those of you who know me understand) irritates me when done to anything - much less extremely complex issues.

Here is a blog entry from Eric Zorn of the Chicago Tribune who at least acknowledges the complexity (I don't think you have to register to get to the blogs.)

Thanks for that. I had no idea that this was even an issue (on the scale that it is - obviously it's an issue with any developed country), let alone how horribly complex.

There's a similar movement here, with statistics being flung around like crazy.

It's so sad to read the comments and see a similar level of bigotry and confusion in your country as in ours. *sigh*
