Price Reduced!
We got a phone call from the Realtor for the house in Danville the other day. Seems they've dropped the price by $10K. That means it is slowly dropping into a range where it almost seems like the Goddess is saying "Hey, have I got your attention yet?"

We've been trying to figure out what cash we have available to begin the process of buying this thing as a second home and then slowly work our way toward living there full time in a few years. The more we look at it the more we love it.

Hmmm.....What would the property taxes be?

$1700 per year based on the on-line property tax info.

That's less than the property taxes on my crumbling hovel! Maybe I'm living next to the wrong Danville.

(Actually, from all the stories I hear on the area news about how property assessments in Indiana are screwed up, if you are serious about buying this place you should find out from someone local who has a clue and no axe to grind what they taxes are likely to be in the future, based on likely possibilities for assessment reform. It might not have much to do with what they were in the past.)

OMG: Tucker's Motel!
I can see it now: house-concerts with space to put up the performers on-site.
Properly priced, this could even contribute to the property-tax fund!

We would delighted to have you in the neighborhood. Did I mention that Steve Salaba drives in from Kalamazoo for SpaceTime rehearsals?
