Not In Chicago
Still in Atlanta, after agreeing with the customer on Friday that there really isn't much we can do on site regarding this problem.

It's good to be home. I don't understand how people can travel constantly - I need some sort of stable base to help me survive the rest of my hectic life.

On one hand, I surely enjoyed the weather last week. It may actually get somewhat autumn-like in Atlanta by Wednesday, with highs in the 70s (24 or so for those not using God's Own Temperature Scale (If God had meant us to have a hundred degrees between freezing and boiling he'd have given us ten fingers... DOH!)), but I'm betting the weather service is either lying or else it will be raining.

On the other hand, summer is clearly over as the Cubs blew the end of the season in rather BoSoxian fashion. Guess I'll be cheering for the Cardinals (with a nod to billroper) to get into the Series (defeating the hated Braves if the Astros can't take care of business). If the Red Sox can manage to get through everything (I'm dreaming of a Red Sox/Yankees ALCS) then I'll be focusing on them. If it's a Braves/Yankees series, I'll be hoping that a strange non-fatal disease strikes down both teams and renders them incapable of baseball until next season.

And never mind the fact that I've gotten back to City of Heroes (the "I can quit whenever I want to, really!" game)

These days I'm a considerably less than rabid fan of baseball, but in the interest of seeing history made I'm officially pulling for the Red Sox. Sorry, Bill and Bill.
