What If I Hadn't Asked For a Small Car?
Today I'm only a little achy in the muscles around my middle back and shoulders. Not unexpected, and not as bad as I was afraid of. We'll see how sore I am after playing a tennis match tomorrow (and another one on Sunday.)

Meanwhile, I went to the Car Repair Place and dropped the Miata off this morning. They wanted me to wait until Monday, since it was drivable and they wouldn't be working on it until Monday anyway. However, when I mentioned I couldn't open the hood so if anything went wrong I'd be pretty stuck, they told me to bring it on in.

I then went to get my rental car battleship aircraft carrier.

I always ask for a small car. They ask me if I want to upgrade. I say that I'd really rather have a small car (though I'd take a Jaguar or Porsche if they have one handy, ha ha ha.) They tell me they have lots of SUVs. I say no thanks.

This time they said that if I didn't take the SUV that I'd have to wait until they brought another car from another location. They'll give me the SUV for the same cost as the small car, don't I want it?

OK, fine, just get me out of here.

I have a GMC ENVOY.

The good news is that it should drastically reduce my commute, since the front end is already almost at my house while it is parked in the office parking lot...

At least you didn't get too badly bunged up.

Watch out with the SUV, though. I understand that they have a greater tendency to roll over than a minivan...

Envoy! Ha ha ha!

The good news is: If the Miata needs to be towed somewhere, you can just put it in the back seat of the Envoy. :)
