When the morning takes a sharp left turn  
ladyat will tell you that I am not the best person in the world when it comes to dealing with changing plans. I would really like things to go the way I expect them to, all the time, without any unpleasant surprises that cause me to have to postpone important activities.

So, of course, what job am I in? An interrupt-driven support position where everyone else's time is more important than my own.

a non ideal combination, but you see to cope reasonably well with the downsides, overall. *Hugs* in the hope they'll improve your mood at least a tiny little bit...

Boy, don't I know the feeling. Just a moment ago, I overheard a conversation between two of my subordinates and I came over saying "Good lord, this is no way to run a railroad!"

Good luck on whatever it is smoothing out quickly!
