Winging To LA
...on the way to Australia. Got away without forgetting anything particularly vital (the iGo tip for miniUSB and the Lonely Planet New Zealand guide being the two more important ones. Meh.) Got to the airport and pickled up a Sony eReader for ladyat - set it up and, when it was charged, found there was a line right down the middle of the screen. Luckily, our flight was delayed, so I ran back to the Borders and got it swapped out.

Problem right now is that it isn't being recognized by the Adobe Digital Library software, so I need to do some further testing once it is charged up.

Meanwhile, this Internet On The Plane thing is kind of nice when you are on vacation - I am, however, not looking forward to it being used as a reason I have to put in 24 or more hours straight of work when traveling on business. Bleh.

When we get on the plane in LA we will be losing a day. I think I have my name engraved on it so we can find it properly on the way back...

Have a fabulous time, and hug Seanan for me! I wish I could be there, but I did my part, bought my supporting membership and voted. :-)

Would you happen to know what type of aircraft you're flying in? I'd think you'd be in a Boeing 777-300ER, powered by two GE90-115B engines.

Knowing Bill, he probably got himself put into an A380 in, at the very least, business class.
