Reason #427 to Love Indiana
The weather here has gone all autumny, with temperatures in the 70's (well, 70 one day, 79 the next, but who's counting?) and beautiful clear skies. I threw as many windows open as I could last night and slept under the blankets.

The Irish Fest is this weekend. Atlanta's Celtic Festival has finally officially gone kaput...

The Indianapolis paper noted this morning that the peak traffic time is from 7:00 to 7:30. Both of those are AM, by the way, unlike Atlanta where the peak traffic period is also from 7:00 to 7:30 - only that's 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

I go for about a mile walk every morning to pick up the newspaper and take Jack out on the leash with me. He loves the exercise, and people smile and pet him on our way around the town.

Besides the Irish Festival in Indianapolis, this Saturday there's a bluegrass festival in the town park AND the first concert of the Royal Theatre season just 3 blocks away.

And ladyat gets back from Atlanta on Thursday night.

It doesn't get much better.

Okay, babe -

First, number one, get around to adding me to your friends, this is Sandra. I read you all the time....and you are missing the minstrels video. You must see my blog and find the Lute and the Fury.

Two:

There must be Celtic in Atlanta...somehow...someway...put it out there to the universe...

And Indiana is sounding lovely. I would like to get up to Kentucky...

My band actually got requested to play at that festival, as a last-minute fill-in. We had to turn it down because of band members unavailable.

Well, darn.

How cool would it have been to roll into our first Irish event in the Midwest and say, "Hey! We know her!"

I'm torn between taking instruments to the late-night seisun or just taking the digital recorder...

If you see The Kells, make sure to shout "FLUTIO!" ;-)

Brian (the flute player) used to be in The Gabriel Hounds with my friends Deb & Karl.

Speakin' of Irish Fest... did you get my email?

I'll be down there from early afternoon 'til I get tired and go home on Saturday... will definitely be there in time for Alair's concert at 2:15. Sally's not going to be able to make it 'cause she's into crazy-time getting prepped for the big drumming weekend the first weekend of Oct. Dunno about min0taur ... haven't heard from him one way or another.
